The Mission of the UT Southwestern Department of Physician Assistant Studies, in accordance with the Competencies for the Physician Assistant Profession as set forth by the consortium of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), the Accreditation Review Commission for Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), is as follows: To excel in the art and science of physician assistant education. To encourage leadership, service, and excellence among our faculty, staff, students and graduates. To promote primary health care delivery to a diverse and dynamic population.
