I’m Stephen Pasquini, PA-C. PA School Finder grew from the same idea that started The PA Life: give people honest, useful tools that make the path to becoming—and thriving as—a PA feel possible.
The path was never a straight line.
Before I could help anyone find a PA program, I had to find the profession for myself.
I arrived at the University of Washington convinced I would become a physician. Then the premedical track humbled me. I worked harder, watched my confidence shrink, and began to wonder whether there was still a place for me in medicine.
While working at the Hall Health student clinic, I met a physician assistant in orthopedics. I saw a happy, capable clinician caring for patients with independence, connection and purpose. That encounter changed the direction of my life. I shifted my studies, became a phlebotomist and EMT, applied to PA school more than once, and eventually found my fit at UMDNJ—now Rutgers.
As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, I began my PA career serving a rural farming community. The work was challenging, grounding and deeply human. It taught me that access matters: access to care, access to opportunity, and access to trustworthy information when a person is trying to build a future.
Every platform began with a real problem.
What started as one PA sharing what he had learned became a connected set of tools for applicants, students and practicing clinicians.

I’m still a PA first.
I have practiced as a PA since 2004. My clinical path has included rural family medicine, pain medicine, public health and care for people experiencing homelessness. I am an NHSC Scholar, a graduate of the University of Washington and the UMDNJ/Rutgers PA Program, and—like every applicant who visits this site—someone whose life changed because I found the PA profession.
I built these resources by teaching myself to write, design and work on the web. Not because I had a technology background, but because I kept seeing problems worth solving and people worth helping.
