Provisionally Accredited — Inaugural Class Enrolling

The Concordia University, St. Paul Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program was granted Accreditation-Provisional by the ARC-PA on July 18, 2026. Accreditation-Provisional is the status granted to a new program that has not yet enrolled students or has not yet had a class graduate; it does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status.

What this means for applicants: the program is accredited and accepting applications through CASPA for its inaugural cohort matriculating January 2027, but it has no graduates and therefore no PANCE pass rate or attrition data yet. Note that Concordia’s own pages are inconsistent on accreditation — one says the status “has been granted,” another says the program “is currently seeking” it. ARC-PA is the authority, and ARC-PA lists the program as Provisional.

  • Concordia currently publishes two different tuition figures for the same inaugural cohort — $965 per credit / $101,325 total on its program page, and $995 per credit / $104,475 total on its admissions page and the linked official cost document. We are not publishing a figure until the program resolves the discrepancy. Confirm the cost directly with the program.

  • Five-year first-time PANCE pass rate: No graduates yet

EXPERIENCE

  • Required Experience Hours (PCE/HCE): 500 hours minimum of direct patient contact experience, at the time of application. Volunteer and/or compensated hours both count and must be verifiable. The program notes that 1,000+ hours in a role with a high level of responsibility is competitive — that is not the minimum.

SHADOWING

  • Shadowing hours do not count toward the 500-hour direct patient contact requirement. The program states no shadowing requirement and publishes no shadowing hour minimum.
