Science prerequisites must be within seven years of the application deadline; medical terminology, psychology and statistics do not expire. Expired science courses with a B- or higher may qualify with a PA-CAT composite score in the second decile or higher; older courses below B- must be repeated. Letter grades are required; pass/fail must be converted on an official transcript. AP may fulfill coursework with a score of four or higher; CLEP and experiential or professional-degree substitutions are not accepted. In-person science is preferred. Biochemistry, genetics, immunology, pathophysiology and pharmacology are recommended preparation, not required. Individual credit minimums outside chemistry are not published.

Didactic preparation
62 credits of systems-based medicine, clinical integration, examination, diagnostics, professional development and evidence-based practice.
Clinical education
43 credits include inpatient internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, surgery, emergency medicine and an internal-medicine subspecialty elective.
