Mission & approach

The mission of the NSU PA program is to produce qualified, compassionate and competent physician assistants for medically underserved populations of northeastern Oklahoma and the surrounding region. Although the NSU PA program endeavors to care for all underserved Oklahomans, populations that have historically been the focus of our mission include American Indians, as well as rural and black communities in Oklahoma.

How this program interviews

On-campusPanel

Each interview session includes at least two interviewers who ask standardized questions, and an in-person interview is generally required for all finalists at the Muskogee campus. Interview invitations go out by email in early November, and NSU graduates meeting certain criteria can request a guaranteed interview, though that does not guarantee admission.

Source checked Aug 1, 2026. Interview formats and dates can change between cycles.
