The mission of the NYIT Department of Physician Assistant Studies is based on the belief that access for all persons to quality health care is a right. Thus, the mission of the program is to: Educate qualified students to graduate as physician assistant students to provide high quality, compassionate, patient-centered health care as competent members of an interdisciplinary team to all populations seeking healthcare. Educate physician assistant students to become life-long learners & critical thinkers who apply their medical knowledge and skills in practice with the highest levels of professionalism that governs the profession. Seek and encourage diversity in the recruitment of representatives of underserved populations within its faculty, staff, and student body, to serve a diverse population.
