Regions Hospital Emergency Medicine PA Residency

Regions Hospital St. Paul, MN 18 months 2 Students Welcome PA Resident Class of 2017 Welcome to the Regions Hospital Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (EM PA) Residency. We are excited to offer the first EM PA residency program in Minnesota with the inaugural class in 2012. We are fortunate to be able to collaborate with a well established and highly competitive physician emergency medicine residency, which was established in 1996. Regions Hospital is a Level I Trauma and Burn Center and is the state’s first Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. The emergency medicine faculty are affiliated with the University of Minnesota and provide training for emergency medicine residents, rotating residents, and medical students. The PA staff provide training for PA students. The PA residents work alongside physician residents, study the core curriculum, and participate in weekly conferences in addition to their clinical rotation schedule. We offer 10 weeks of critical care training with opportunities for procedural experience during these rotations, during outreach hospital and rural hospital rotations, as well as simulation training. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is centrally located in Colton, CA and is within an hours drive to both mountains and coastline. ARMC’s Emergency Department is the second busiest in California with an annual volume of 110,000. As a large volume emergency department, our AOA-approved Emergency Medicine residency provides vigorous and broad training where residents become proficient at EM procedures and manage multiple critical patients simultaneously. My goal as Program Director is to train extremely qualified and well-rounded emergency physicians, all of whom I would have treat my own family without reservation. Texas Children’s Hospital Pediatric Surgery Houston, TX 12 months 6 Students Surgery Physician Assistant Fellowship Providing advanced pediatric surgical training to physician assistants The Pediatric Surgery Fellowship for Physician Assistants is the first of its kind in the country to offer a 12-month didactic and clinical pediatric training program to physician assistants. Our fellowship ensures a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a full spectrum of pediatric surgical subspecialties, and to become a leader in all areas of pediatric surgery.
