Postgraduate Physician Assistant Emergency Medicine Program

In today’s highly competitive job marketplace, unique learning experiences can make the difference in physician assistant hiring and can provide a medical system with PAs who bring the ability to offer patients the best possible care.

Marquette University’s Department of Physician Assistant Studies offers a one-year emergency medicine fellowship at Marquette, Aurora Sinai Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. This training program is not just new to Marquette and Aurora — it will be the first PA emergency medicine fellowship in Wisconsin, just the second in the Midwest, and only the seventh such program in the United States. It’s also the first time a medical training program has united Aurora, Marquette, Children’s Hospital and Medical College of Wisconsin.

The goal for the program is to provide the PAs an in-depth, focused year of training in emergency medicine. An intense, one-year training regimen will make the PAs more marketable in the competitive emergency medicine marketplace. They’ll be able to demonstrate advanced clinical skills and significant, hands-on experience.
